ABOUT
Electron Corp. is the fifth project of First Line Group in Kyiv, created as a multifunctional space for UNIT.City residents. It combines a café, street-food format, delivery service, corporate catering, and even on-site production. Located in campus B10, the concept was designed around the “office day” — offering fast, modern comfort food in an IT-cluster environment. Seating is designed for about 86 guests across an elongated 2,210 ft² (205 m²) space filled with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows. The opening took place in late 2021.

CONSTRUCTION
I acted as both Technical Director and Project Manager throughout the construction. I was responsible for solving all engineering and technical challenges, coordinating contractors, and ensuring that every detail — from furniture production to coffee-station installations — was completed according to plan. My role was essential to transforming the concept into a fully functional space that meets the high demands of UNIT.City.
The layout was dictated by the elongated geometry of building B10. Seating was arranged along the panoramic windows, while the kitchen was placed in the “core” of the building to streamline logistics and keep guest zones filled with daylight. A custom zoning plan separated the entrance espresso station, communal tables, high seating, and the kitchen.

One of the main challenges was the multi-format functionality: the café, street-food, catering, and delivery services all had to run in parallel. To achieve this, we designed separate technological lines and a cold hub for handling multiple streams simultaneously.

A separate focus was placed on custom furniture and work surfaces. All bar counters, coffee stations, and service areas were produced to order according to drawings I personally developed and approved — from design through to installation. This ensured that the space was not only functional but also aligned with the visual and ergonomic concept.

Another challenge was integrating the One Love Coffee roastery directly into the guest area. This required precise isolation of noise and aromas, along with specialized extraction and heat-flow systems. As a result, guests and baristas coexist comfortably with the roaster, without compromising the café experience.

Project Execution Overview — “Electron Corp.”

• Total area — 2,210 ft² (205 m²).
• Seating for 86 guests arranged along panoramic windows.
• Kitchen placed in the “core” for optimized logistics.
• Zoning: entrance espresso station, communal tables, high seating, kitchen area.
• Integration of One Love Coffee roastery inside the café space.
• Noise and odor isolation, advanced ventilation, and heat-flow management.
• Ventilation and exhaust systems adapted to roaster requirements.
• Technological lines planned for parallel flows (dine-in / delivery / events).
• Custom furniture and surfaces designed and produced to order.
• Espresso stations, counters, and service zones built per custom drawings.
• Full supervision of production, delivery, installation, and validation.
• All engineering and technical tasks completed to meet operational standards.

From an early age, I’ve had the ability to adapt quickly to complex situations and find solutions where others see only dead ends. This trait has become my key tool in managing large-scale projects: from overcoming construction challenges to navigating documentation and regulatory approvals. I solve problems fast — to keep moving forward — and thoroughly — so there’s never a need to revisit them.

My work is about complete transformation. I take the keys to an abandoned, empty space and leave only when the tables are set, the plates are ready, and the manager receives the symbolic new keys tied with a ribbon. It’s a journey from chaos to structure, from a bare framework to a space that operates as a seamless mechanism. And it’s this responsibility for the final result that defines me and my work.
